News Flash: Possibly the largest Tarantula found in Singapore

Spider meh?
Spider meh! Spider meh!

Shoppers at Bishan Junction 8 were in for a surprise on Monday 9th June 2008 when they saw what could possibly the largest Tarantula ever found in Singapore. It stood there motionless, seemingly obedient and in its small little enclosed area surrounded by simple fencing.

The spider was said to attract huge crowds. Passers-by never showed fear while posing for the photographs right in front of the fences. Some were a little skeptical.

“It looks fake, mummy,” said a 5 year old boy, Simon, to his mother.
“Rubbish. Of course it’s real. Don’t be stupid,” replied the mother candidly.

Others were obviously inspired.

Sean, 6, told the WantonPress, “I wanna be a tarantula when I grow up.”
